Cadpipe 2D/3D piping software in conjunction with AutoCAD Release 13/14 on a network based system.P-Chem 2D software in conjunction with AutoCAD using structural,piping,isometric & P & ID menus. AutoCAD Version 13 & 14 network & stand alone PC based systems

Experienced in the use of:-Piping Design, Isogen, Equipment Building, Structural Design, Draft, Datal, Reporter, Clasher,& Data Consistency Checking. AutoCAD Release 13 & 14 together with AutoCAD LT. ProPipe 3D & Pro Iso piping software in conjunction with AutoCAD Release 12 & 13. P-Chem 2D software used in conjunction with AutoCAD Release 12 & 13 for piping, isometric, structural,& P & ID disciplines.

Qualified Piping Designer/Project Engineer with 25 years of all round work experience in the United Kingdom and overseas, including Norway, Netherlands, Australia, USA, Middle East (UAE/Bahrain), Africa and Poland. Involved in piping & mechanical design projects in a wide range of applications including oil & gas, petrochemicals, industrial chemicals and military/civilian shipping applications and all levels from overall design responsibility through to fabrication/installation. Good supervisory skills and training experience. Technical writing work including preparation of piping installation an testing procedures, QA standards to BS 5750.

My experience includes ten years offshore and onshore pipework detailing and design, pipe supports and weight control, including petrochemical and pharmaceutical experience. I also have some 13 years shipbuilding detail design experience, specialising in pipework for various classes of merchant and naval vessels. I am also familiar with working with a personal computer to produce reports, lists and memos, also AutoCAD release 14 and also have two years experience 3D modelling using Tribon a shipbuilding modeling program.

Production & checking of piping & mechanical design layouts, general arrangements, isometrics, fabrication drawings, P & I.Ds & schematics, produced both manually & with the aid of 3D computer models & intelligent parts. Pipe support design & detail with basic stressing, production of data for manuals & operations. 3D computer clash checking; material take off & estimating. Weight control, collective moments & data collection. Site surveys, Q.A records & inspection, line punching on & offshore. Use of word processor data bases for line lists, specs & schedules.

A design engineer who is able to design from first principles and provide calculations as required.  Experience of mechanical handling, Conveyors, Nuclear Industry, Robotics, Cranes, Special Purpose Machinery.  Conversant with AutoCAD, Cadds 5, HP ME10 etc.
